Where it all began

Mae & Elara Melbourne began with two sisters and a shared love for fashion. For as long as we can remember, we have loved discovering beautiful clothing and putting outfits together in our own way. We would spend hours talking about new styles, fabrics and the little details that make a piece feel special. Eventually, we decided to turn that passion into something we could build together. We started small, with a carefully chosen collection and a lot of excitement about what might come next. We never expected it to grow into what it is today. Fifteen years later, we still enjoy working on the store together just as much as we did at the beginning. Mae & Elara has become a very special part of our lives.

A love for fashion that never left us

Fashion has always been something we genuinely enjoy. We love finding pieces that are beautiful, easy to wear and simple to combine with things already in your wardrobe. Even after all these years, choosing new collections is still one of our favourite parts of running Mae & Elara. We look at every collection and ask ourselves whether we would happily wear the pieces ourselves. We also love hearing from our customers and helping whenever someone has a question. Those little conversations have always made running the store feel much more personal to us. Our style has changed over the years, just like fashion does, but our love for what we do has stayed exactly the same. That is what keeps us excited about every new collection.
